Compatibility and purchase details

Requires macOS 15 or later. Automatic captions require compatible speech support on macOS 26 or later. Apple Intelligence is optional and requires a compatible Mac and available models. Vision OCR does not require Apple Intelligence.

Capture is 30 fps. Exporting at 60 fps repeats frames; larger resolutions do not add source detail. Layouts and zooms are user controlled. Captures stay on your Mac.

The Direct unlock covers one person on up to two Macs. App Store purchases follow Apple’s terms. Purchases are separate between editions.

Most people should get Snapmodo from the Mac App Store. It is a free download, and one in-app purchase unlocks everything. Apple handles payment, restore and updates, and you do not need a Snapmodo account. The free Direct 1.1 download is coming soon. The current Direct release remains available to purchase, with a seven-day trial. The 1.1 features described here apply to the App Store edition. Purchases do not transfer between the two editions.
